Audience Response

Mark Eveslage, EMMY award winning Director of Photography

“Bodhi is an amazing new filmmaker with an eye for using the medium to create awareness of social and environmental issues. His new film, “No Hero”, is quite disturbing but very well crafted and entirely appropriate for holding the attention of an audience well beyond the initial viewing.”

Dr. Rober Kase, Dean of the School of Fine Arts UMD

“I was indeed very impressed.  Your talent and creative proclivities combined with your steadfast dedication to your dreams have led you to wonderful connective and expressive creations.  It was great fun to be part of this event[private screening of NH], and quite moving.  It is so wonderful to have you in our community and to see this truly expressive art.  Thank you for sharing it with me.  I look forward more and more.”

Richard Hansen, Duluth Superior Film Fest Director & Founder

“your film certainly shows passion and promise”

Director Statement

Human trafficking is the fastest growing black market, there are an estimated 25 million victims globally, 80% are sex slaves and half are children. An estimate 60,000 people are forced into human slavery in the US alone. It’s sickening and painful to think about… So most of us don’t.

I want “No Hero” to help start the conversation, to shed light on the horror of human trafficking in our modern times, to hopefully affect change.

As a movie maker I want to tell stories worth telling, to do so I want to create emotion and take the audience into the world of the story, my hope is to expand their perspective in doing so.

As far back as I can remember I have been inspired by storytelling. Some of my earliest memories are trying to figure out the techniques behind the illusions in movies. I have long been excited by and committed to learning every aspect of movie making including acting.

I am very excited to share “No Hero” with you. I would love to know what you think.
